Current project directed by Maya Gracia in need of immediate support:

Full restoration of Sacred Art at St George Maronite Catholic Church - Dover, NH

Gracia Art Dance Organization (GADO) hopes to serve by keeping selected artists fully sustained (including materials, living and operating costs) as they execute their knowledge and skills in restoring art pieces to their original state in Church settings.

An increasing rate of local parishes can not afford to pay for the upkeep and maintenance of their quality, valuable and revered religious art. Many sacred pieces are falling into disrepair by unintentional breakage due to improper storage, mishandling or other inexperience. Maya Gracia's observation has shown there to be a shortage of qualified individuals for the proper cleaning/storing of such works.

In adjunct to the services listed above, G.A.D.O. seeks to recruit and train other qualified artists who are committed to the veneration and preservation of sacred items. Once trained, these artistic assistants will accompany her into church parishes to teach rectors, sacristans and other laity how to preserve, conserve or otherwise keep the solidity and aesthetics of their sacred art intact. A current goal is to create a curriculum for a set of DYI classes or workshops made nominal to parishes.
